I was called the week of November 12th (unsure exact date while I look up phone records, I apologize). And as my 2 children were shouting in the background 2 women proceeded to scam me into giving them credit card information to enter a contest for $100,00 what I was told would only cost me 4 payments of $16.60. Now I receive a letter dated 11/16 stating they will be billing me 12 payments of 66.41 for a grand total of $797 for magazines I did not want and was duped into getting in the first place. When I called the number listed 1-888-300-9415 a very abrupt representative made it clear they will not remedy this situation nor did she offer any options to reduce the total balance. Considering my willingness to partially pay for my stupid mistake of trusting this terrible company I am now infuriated by their clear disrespect of proper business practices. I have already contacted my lawyer, BBB and my credit card company to handle it on my own end but I hope this story helps someone else be spared the expense and stress of dealing with Old West Publications and other scammers.
