We received a letter in the mail about mortgage modification from forest law group when we contacted them they told us they can do our loan modification but it will cost $3995 and we can get a 3% rate. They told us to pay $916 every month for 6 months while the paper work in process which we did, the other day we received a letter from our mortgage company that our home is up for foreclosure because we were on a forbearance plan and we did not make 3 months payment and we owe them $5600. Forest law group did not tell us about this forbearance plan, we knew nothing about it until we call our mortgage company they told us. Now i have been trying to get in touch with Richard berg from forest law group and no response. I called every day and send emails and he never returned my calls or emails. So we were scammed of $3995.
