I was hired as a virtual personal assistant by Stephen Kearney. I was asked to complete three assignments on a trial basis for a fee of $1000, which I never received. I was also required to fill out a W4 form, sign an agreement contract, and download a time tracking tool. I did all these things to his satisfaction. The first assignment was to request a recreation of a painting by a Russian artist, Alex Tarasov and arrange for payment and shipping. Stephen emailed me and told me that the client was pleased with my work and would pay me a $500 bonus, which I never received. The second assignment was to gather information about purchase of nickel ore at 2.5% quality. The third assignment was to gather information about luxury rental cars in my area near the closest airport. When these were completed and the 15 day trial basis passed, I did not hear from Stephen Kearney (15 days were up on 11/12). I heard from him 4 days later asking me to be a "moneymule", to give him 10 accounts and I would receive $5000 to $10000. I also found out from this email that he was keylogging everything I typed via the Time Tracking Tool I was to download. He stated in this email information he knew about what things I had discussed online with people. When I demanded my payment, he sent me an email back telling me he was turning me into my bank for bank fraud and sending a complaint to the FBI. After the last email about asking me to be a "moneymule" I contacted my bank and turned off my online services, and filed a complaint online with the FBI. I also deleted this time tracker because it was also a keylogger.
