I received a "collection notice" in the mail for monies owed on my UPS account. When I called to question this, I was sent an email by Synter with four attachments: two invoices; a form to provide bank information, including routing number; a form to provide credit card information, including security code, that had to be faxed to the company.
I called UPS and was told that I had no balance due on my account, and that I should disregard the notice. At their suggestion, I have forwarded the email to their fraud department.
Since this company may be involved in fraudulent activity in the name of companies other than UPS, I decided to contact your office as well. Thank you.
