Date Occurred: 06/24 Reported Damages:$650.00 Username: sanchez miller Email: [email protected] Location: cameroon sanchez miller posted a add on craigslist supposedly having a teacup yorkie puppy that he needed to send back to the US from cameroon because he was unable to keep the puppy in that area. He offered to let us buy the dog for $50.00. That was to be to help with the shipment of the dog to the US. After a solid week of multiple emails to me from airports in france, mexico, and birmingham requesting addtional funds for certain documents, passports, etc... We ended up spending at least $650.00. We never recieved a dog. Sanchez continued to call me everyday requesting additional funds stating that it was for these documents. Long story short, the dog never came and the birmingham airport (where the last email came from stating the dog was there) stated that there was no dog there. I was also threatened several times to be arreseted for animal abandoment if the funds were not paid so "they" could deliver the dog. This is unfortunate that someone can scam people like this and get away with it. It needs to be stopped. The multiple, multiple phone calls i recieved from sanchez he was requesting amounts: $440.00, $1000.00,900.00, and $100.00. We could not, of course, come up with that kind of money, so he stated that he would"kindly" come up with the rest of the money because he was concerned about the dog. This went on for an entire week. I was afraid to leave home in fear of missing the arrival of the dog and no one being at home to recieve it, since i had already been threatened 3 times to be arrested for animal abandoment/abuse. This has been the most upsetting/stressful week for me and my family because we were promised a refund of all of our money upon the dog reaching our home. We had to pawn my daughters computer and tv one day because of an email that said i had 2 hours to come up with $440.00 to complete documents because they were not correct. This was supposedly from the airport in france. Then we had a email supposedly from the airport in mexico claiming i had 3 hours to pay $900.00 for some other documents. Both of these emails gave me a time limit and said if not they would quarantine the dog and i would be arrested for animal abandoment/abuse. Same thing when the dog was supposedly in birmingham. Needless to say i am out at least$650.00 and i have no dog and my life has been in turmoil for a solid week. We used our grocery money to try and get this solved so i would not be charged/arrested for animal abuse because we were promised that we would be refunded the entire amount yesterday, saturday june 23 when the dog was delivered to me. Terrible situation since i have 3 children to feed and no money to buy food.
This person found my lost dog listing and contacted me. Demanded I post free yorkie listings eleven of um... Then demanded money deposited to an orphanage in cameroon. Used email addresses: [email protected] and [email protected]
