Called the 800 number that was advertised in their TV ad. The TV ad stated "Buy 1 Old Brooklyn Lantern for $12.99, but wait you get a 2nd for free and ask us about free shipping."
I went and read about complaints here, before I called!
An automated answer came on, it never stated that you were getting the 2nd for free. Pressed "0" and got the usual Indian customer service agent. She said that the 1st Lantern was $12.99 and the 2nd was $9.99 $6.99 for shipping and handling.
I explained to her about the ad on TV and told her that I saw the same ad 5 times in 1 week. She claimed she was unaware of such promotion and perhaps I misunderstood. I told her what the ad said word for word, she put me on hold for 5 minutes looking something up. After 5 minutes I got annoyed and stopped her search and said, "How do they have people selling items that is advertised w/o knowing advertised price?" I asked to speak to her boss, she gave me an 800 number 800-777-4034!
This Company are bigtime scam artists, who are now exploiting people who got hit by Hurrican Sandy! Don't buy (Inappropriate Content Removed) from them!
