Tariq Umani Forged Documents

Took Henley Homes to the High Court regarding unpaid monies on a contract at Copenhagen Place, London. Henley Homes had produced a fabricated letter purportig to be from the "National Grid" in support of claims that cables installed by PMP Electrical Services Ltd were sub-standard. The letter was proven to be a forgery, yet when National grid asked with regard to the letters origins, Tariq Usmani claimed to be able to find no record of it within the Henley Homes organisation, despite the letter being e-mailed to me by his brother Kashif Usmani. Laterly in court Tariq Usmani claimed that the letter was discussed at a monthly management meeting.

In order to demonstrate that Henley Homes had a propensity to create documents, PMP Electrical secured evidence that false electrical test certificates had been provided to Building Control to facilitate the release of a habitation certificate (and subsequently completion of sales of apartments) at a development called Lumiere Apartments, Clapham.in Court Kashif Usmani stated that the directors of Henley Homes had collectively created the false electrical certificates due to pressures from their funders to complete the sale of apartments. The certificates were created on software owned and licensed to Mark Burton, whom has been recently convicted of fraud for issuing test certificates in the name of Mechanivcal & electrical design Ltd without their permission. Transcripts of the evidence given in Court were provided to Kent Police, who questioned Tariq Usmani in relation to the fake certificates to which he then denied having ever seen them.

It was also demonstrated to the High Court following a letter recieved from HM Revenue & customs that Henley Homes had made tax deductions and provided statements to PMP Electrical for sums in excess of 60,000 yet only declared 17,000 to HMRC.

Despite all of the evidence relating to the poor character of the directors of Henley Homes, the Judge ruled in favour of Henley Homes as they denied agreeing to change the specificationn of the cables installed by PMP Electrical, despite evidence to the contrary
