I wouldn't advise anybody to move over here. They have sorry maintenance because this passed summer, the week we had triple digit heat we had no air. It was 90 degrees inside my apartment and i have small kids. Why? We called a number of 7 times within 5 days to the rent office for them to come repair the air conditioning but no luck. I threatened to call code compliance on them and I guess that speeded up my repair request. When the maintenance guy finally came on the 7th day he got it to come on but just our luck it cut back off. When i came from the kitchen that night coming down the hallway i saw a huge spark from the bathroom door, I was scared but had to see what was going on. I entered the bathroom I saw a puff of smoke come from the air conditioning unit, I quickly ran to the breaker box and cut the power before it was to late. Mind you I have small kids here with me. After that we went 2 more days without air, we also had no working toilet for three days.
These apartments are in a bad area. There is a helicopter and many police always over here searching for someone, I've gotten to the point were i don't even let my kids go outside to play anymore. They don't have a pool, a park or anything over here thats recreational for the kids in the neighborhood.
Woodhollow is latin managed, and are just some prejudice people. Back to the maintenance issue they told me when my toilet stopped up that they had given the work order to the maintenance guy, I saw him the day of my request to the office and he said he never had any work order or any mention of my apartment number. Then he said it was after 5 o'clock anyways and the office had the keys to the maintenance closet and he couldn't get into it. Thats real ridiculous to me because the following day i saw him come out of a mexican guys apartment with tools and it was about 6:30. And get this i saw him go into the maintenance closet to put the tools back up. To my opinion they dont like black people, we had one black maintenance for two weeks and he was fired after that.
We have a bad pest problem all kinda spiders, wasps, bees, and God knows what else is lurking in the cracks. They get in through the patio and build nests in our dining area and bathroom. I called the office about the problem and their response was "Buy some spray or hire your own exterminator".
These apartments have very hollow walls if someone is yelling or arguing you can hear them very well word for word what they are saying. Dont try to hang no pictures as the hammer will go right through the wall with no effort.
Lastly, they are money hungry they charge for everything. I called them one day to let me in my own house cause I had given my house key to my wife, they told me 15 dollars. I was like you cant just come let me in? They said if you dont have the money I dunno what to tell you. My wife was all the way in Carrolton and I had to wait for her to get here. Its a shame how they just want money all the time like that and just cant help anybody out. I guess its because its alotta people moving and they need all the money they can get. Ive stayed here for a year and a half and am tired and sick of these raggedy and ratchet apartments.
