Eceived a call from wakanetwork claiming for only $2.99 PERIOD I was selected for $100 in gas and a $10 gift card-walmart. I specifically asked if there were any other charges associated; any at all-Sylvia Davis said no. After I foolishly gave my cc info, I got a transaction receipt which included a $39.99 activation fee and a $10.99 monthly fee besides the $2.99 transaction amount. I was furious and immediately calledthe company to cancel my membership-told my membership was cancelled; they did not provide a cancelletion number. I had to ask for it. #408226 billing said as I'd just joined a few minutes earlier the $39.99 and $10.99 charges would be cancelled but not the $2.99-the cliche-too good to be true, probably not applies here. I'm getting a new credit card tomorrow to make sure they don't keep charging me. Do not fall for anything online or people who call you up claiming you've won, been selected, etc. For anything. Hard lesson learned... If you're truly won something, then they would have the money to mail it to you...
