Sometime ago I received a telephone call from a person claiming to represent Windows Maintenance and that they had noticed my computer had been hacked a number of times and that my warranty had expired and to avoid future hacking I needed to enter into a contract. I was quoted a price for a period of 3 yrs and agreed to enter into an agreement.
Yesterday I received a telephone call quoting all the details of the agreement, money paid etc and advising the company was closing down and they would be refunding the money I had paid.
Not doing online banking, I gave details of my visa credit card and was advised the money would be transferred via Western Union Money Transfer Service. It all sounded feasible at the time. However, when WUMTS sent confirmation of the transaction I noticed money had been transferred out of my account, not into it. My credit card was immediately cancelled, but I have been advised that the transaction could not be stopped as the transfer had already occurred.
Obviously I have been duped by experts, but maybe you can assist in recovering the funds or at least publish details so that other people will not be duped.
