I ordered a bed which I was advised would take approx a month that arrived two months later and it was the wrong bed. I only noticed it was the wrong bed when the delivery guys had set it up and were about to leave.
I called to advise and was told to keep that bed and they would get the manager to call me back.
When I spoke to the manager I asked her if she could let me know how long it would take this time for the new correct bed to arrive and also if I can get some sort of compensation.
By the time she got back to me she advised that it would take approx 4 wks and I said thats no good as I will be moving out by then. She got irrate when I asked for a discount advised Im being unreasonable and that I would need to pay for cleaning of the old bed and that she is going to be out of pocket for deliveries. She yelled at me so I hung up. She did promise me $100 off and Ive never received that nor have I heard from her again. I rang head offce and they said they would look into it and no word. Im left with a bed I did not order and apparently I cant do much as Harvey Norman is a franchise so if the manager thinks shes right then shes right... Well I think not!
