Hanah Pham DDS
Good dentist and a good friend

• I was SO excited to go to the dentist after reading these Google and Yahoo reviews that I search about Dr. Hanah Pham, crazy, right? Excited about a DENTIST!? My last dentist told me that I had receding gums or something, and that I needed to get them cleaned with lasers. LASERS! So good-bye, I skipped on out of there and found Dr. Pham six months later, thanks to the internet I found Dr. Pham in Reston, VA. When I asked Dr. Pham about my gums, she inspected my gums, suggested using a softer toothbrush, and said "You don't have anything to worry about; trust me, I would tell you if I did!" Yay! No laser (-red pew pew pew). I think I trust because she does not sell products or treatment to me, unless it was totally necessary. Dr. Pham is without question the best dentist I have ever seen (and I've seen a total of seven in my lifetime). I tried to push her to do ZOOM teeth whiten but she said it will not work, my stains are intrinsic from tetracycline, maybe when I was a child taking meds. She said, “No” to the whitening. I have been a patient of Dr. Pham's for about 2 yrs. (so I've seen her around 10 times so far.).

Dr. Pham is extremely sweet and also very thorough. Her office manager Elizabeth always makes sure I was clear on every single charge on my bill, so I was very informed. Excellent staffs, but more importantly really compassionate staff that is only friendly and always on my side; I say this because they didn’t not judge me, my hair or my teeth, Hehehe. For my first appointment, a routine cleaning and checkup, she performed the teeth cleaning, herself. I had never before, in my life, known a dentist to perform a whole cleaning — I thought they always had their hygienists do cleanings. I'm not sure that she does this all the time, but Dr. Pham said that since I was a new patient, this gives her a good opportunity to get familiar with my dentition. I am impressed, dentition away Dr. Pham! I do not bite, maybe?

Dr. Pham seems to genuinely care about the oral health of her patients. She gives good and realistic advice, and backs up her advice with good reasoning and examples (e.G., rinse but don’t brush your teeth immediately after eating acidic foods like strawberries, orange juice because brushing right after eating acidic foods can scrape away surface enamel. Wait for about 30 mins after. She showed me how to brush and floss correctly; no one ever did this for me in my life. I promised her I will take care of my teeth from now on because she was so good to me. I think of her as a good friend, a god sent even.
