Dug in and found this to be a scam:

Hi,

This 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL, 2.5L I4 FI DOHC 16V, FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, VIN: 1N4AL21E28C210343, runs and drives excellent. It has been extremely well maintained with a full service history and 83,569 miles! Transmission is Automatic shifts smoothly.

It has no leaks or drips and does not smoke at all, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions with a clear title free of encumbrances and liens. I bought it when i was serving in Detroit Arsenal, MI. The car will be delivered from Michigan, US and the shipping is free for you!

I have dropped my price to $2,000 (purchase price) since this is an Urgent Sale! And I need to sell it before September 20, when I will be deployed in Afghanistan with my platoon replacing the troops scheduled to come home.

If you're interested to conclude this purchase in a timely manner email me your: Full Name and Shipping address, to open a case with eBay. They will contact you to explain the entire procedure. The financial part will be managed by eBay, which means that you will have a 10 days inspection period before committing to buy the car.in this way both, buyer and seller are 100% covered during the steps of this transaction.

Hope to hear from you soon!
Maj. Mary Hook

This what I e-mailed back:

I hope you understand how this is truly too good to be true. I am very interested in the car. As I live in Western Kentucky, I am a little leery of such a long distance transaction. For the price my husband talked about driving up to Michigan personally to inspect the car as well as if this were a scam, we would just be out gas money. My phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX if this is a serious ad.

Just as I figured, "she" never called just sent another e-mail saying that she assured me that this wasn't a scam. That the military had her car crated already to send out. As this was my chance to catch her I simply said back, "so what if someone local wanted to look at it?" Haven't heard another word. Lol!

Look I'm going out and just looking for the scams to catch them and let others be informed. If it sounds too good to be true, it is, and they don't act as though they want to meet in person, THEN IT'S A SCAM!!!
