I was hired as a manager trainee, to be trained to run my own store w / approxiamately 8-12 employees. On the first day of "training" I was told I would be paid in cash during my training (red flag). We had a contest with a $300.00 bonus for 1st place. I tied for first, but no bonus.
The 2nd day I was asked to go out on the streets and sell a product (perfume), but before I left I needed to sign a contract that was not legible and another that stated I was not an employee of Scentura Creations but an independent contractor.
When I asked how that was possible I was given no direct answer, just double talk. The sort intended to confuse. I asked about the money I made for my "performance" on day 1 of training and they told me they will put MY cash into a savings account. That if I wanted it I would just have to ask for it.
I asked for it, never received it, informed 2 young women (manager trainees) of what was going on. They were having similar experiences, we left, but I noticed they had another list of potential manager trainees (victims)
