I'm in the Military and got a verizon phone in shortly after I found out that I was on assignment to south korea, so to my knowledge if you present a company a copy of your orders, they are required by law to let it go (i.E. Breaking leases, phone bills, etc.), so. Thats what I did, half way through at about the 6 month mark, I recieved a bill for over $1000.00 from verizon, and shortly after, the bill was in afni's hands, totaling $2,219.00, which is still on my credit report to this day, I called verizon a few years ago, and they had no record of me in the system, back in 2008 I actually sent a check to afni for $100 (because paying the whole lump sum in one sitting is just insane), so the actual total now is $2,119.00.. Is there anything I can do to get this off my report? Or do I even have a case at all?
