Long distance call at a Bell pay phone in Montreal to a number in the Laurentians. The phone did say that it outsourced long distance calls to WIMACTL but doesn't say they're going to rip you off.
To be fair I was on the phone for 5-10 minutes but the $24.22 charge was outrageous — had I known I would have used my cell phone at $0.25/ minute air time and $0.25/minute long distance...
So the complaint is not that I paid even a few dollars (I would have expected up to, say, $6-$7) but that it's so exhorbitant. And, the connection service is crappy — dial the number and you hear so many beeps that you're convinced that there's a technical problem making the connection.
