I reside in TX. I received a collection letter in the mail from this "law firm" demanding payment and threatening legal action regarding an unpaid traffic citation in Florida. The letter referenced my actual TXDL number. It referred to a traffic citation that occurred in Pasco County, FL. The letterhead shows a P. O Box address for Jacksonville FL, but the remittance address to send payment is a P.O. Box in San Antonio TX. The toll-free contact phone number in the letter does indeed lead to a voice mail for this law firm (I called on a Saturday so did not speak with a representative). According to the letter, they also accept "payments" online at www.lgbswebpayments.com. I plan to contact my local DPS on Monday to ensure that my DL is *not* suspended, and will follow up by contacting FL if necessary. I will edit this report with those results, if able.
