I was on the internet, had typed in the domain name for my son's school website and then this survey came up... No logos or anything, so I thought it was related to the school site. I answered three questions (don't recall the topic) and at the end I was asked to select one of three possible prizes for completing the survey. To do this I had to text 'yes' to 2880. Then a list of monthly mobile phone plan options came up at significant cost and to cancel it I had to text 'STOP" to 2880. Did this, then I got FIVE TEXTS from 2880 which I had to reply 'STOP' to in order to be sure they didn't charge me for their monthly plans. Turned out each Text cost $5! When I got a message from my service provider saying my available balance had dropped down on my prepaid to 6c I was completely confused. They told me that I had been charged $5 a text and that I should have only received one Text from them to stop the service. I explained they had sent me five and I felt obliged to respond to ensure the service was cancelled. I tried rining their 0800 number to complain but you can't get through to a human being! I send an email complaint via their website but chances will be very slim if I hear from them. I feel completely taken advantage of. Beware - hate this to happen to anyone else.
