I called last May to receive a quote from PODS. They kindly gave me a quote and then the representative advised me I should book it now to lock in the rates. I advised her my dates weren't firm and was told that was okay but it was important that I lock my rates in. I booked it with a tentative date. I did end up needing to change dates so I called back and change them expecting them to honor my "locked rate". The price jumped $600 and the service representative didn't bother to inform me of the change. I noticed it a week later when I logged into their site.
I called and was shuffled around to three different representatives and finally was advised to leave a message for the person who originally booked the service. No return phone was received after week so I called back and was shuffled around again. I ended up being put on hold for 30 minutes and then gave up trying to get this issue resolved with PODS.
I have just booked my move with another provider and cancelled my order with PODS. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB.
