I signed up for the “AS in Nursing degree” with the college network (5-24) I was led to believe that the College Network was both an accredited college and affiliated with Excelsior college (a program that met with my employer’s tuition reimbursement program for which I applied for recently (5-15). Anxious to begin, I entered into agreement with TCN in good faith, even obtaining a (0% for 18 months) line of credit to pay for The” AS in nursing degree”. I also referred one of my coworkers to thier program. Due to the significant financial cost of the program, I was counting on tuition reimbursement from my employer. They flatly denied it, stating “TCN (The College Network) is not a college and does not award degrees” and that “Excelsior College” denies any affiliation with TCN. I feel I was misled and misinformed by the TCN advisor as to this affiliation, and TCN Credentials. It was then pointed out to me a disclaimer on excelsior's website ”Notice to All Students Taking Excelsior College® Examinations
In response to numerous inquiries from students, Excelsior College wants to clarify that it is in no way associated with The College Network (TCN) its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, or partners. Excelsior does not promote, endorse, or approve TCN's products or services.
I have made numerous attempts by phone to cancel the program, and on June 25, I submitted a (certified return receite) letter requesting the same. As of July 1, I have heard nothing.
