I was at a Michael's Craft Store trying to look up Michael's coupons on my phone. I clicked a link that promised a 40% off Coupon, and on the page it asked me to enter my phone number. It had the Michael's insignia and a bar code that looked like it could be a coupon, so I entered my phone number. The next page still had the Michael's insignia and it asked me to confirm, so I hit confirm. I received a text saying that I needed to enter a pin to continue, so I did. I entered the pin and apparently that opted me in for a $9.99 a month service of celebrity texts which is definitely not what I wanted. When I went back to the site to see if there was mention of this charge there is - at the tip top of the page in the lightest possible and smallest possible text. Jeff, who I have been emailing about removing the charge is of no help at all. It's like he copy and pastes answers to my questions that have literally nothing to do with what I've been asking. I've gotten Michael's involved, and I hope to have the $9.99 charge reversed. Total scam - how do these people go to work every day knowing that their sole purpose is to scam people out of their money? It's beyond me.
