My son rec'd a $35 Vanilla Visa gift card for Christmas that never worked. We went back to the store it was purchased from and they told us we had to deal directly with the company. I called Vanilla Visa on the 9th of January and faxed the information to them the next day. I called in Feb to see if it was issued yet and they said it was on the way. We hadn't rec'd it by the middle of March so I called again. This time they told me that the fax that was sent for the copy of the card was too dark and could not be read. So I faxed it again on March 20th. I called a couple of weeks later. They said we should have it in the next week or so. After 3 weeks I called again. It's on it's way they said. I waited another couple of weeks.By June I called again on the 6th and asked to speak to a supervisor. She said they would do a check on it and would have an answer within the next 48 hours and that a manager would call me back within the next 24 hours. There was no manager call back. I called again 5 days later. The supervisor I talked to said she would call me back by the end of the day. She never called back and left no record of the call on the account. I called again today and spoke to another supervisor she said she would have a manager call me back within the next half hour. No callback. It looks to me as if they have no intention of ever reimbursing the gift card.
