I entered into the program with Legal Helpers Debt Resolution hoping to pay off my unsecured debt and avoid bankruptcy about 14 months ago. They have been collecting $580 a month, but only applying $240 a month towards an account to be used to pay off creditors, and were SUPPOSED to be negotiating lower balances with them. What they did was to not respond to ANY offers received, and apparently wait until there is a lot of money in the account before acting.By that time, everyone is suing me for the full balance, Legal Helpers is not talking to me or the creditors, and they (and Global Client Solutions, their partner) have taken almost 70% of the money as "fees". When I told them to cancel the program and refund the money in my account, they then took another $1,319 in "fees". When I called to ask what that was for, the first person said they didn't know. She transferred me to someone that said it was for "fee" they were owed but couldn't explain exactly what for, and that she would have to refer it to "upper management" for a description.
I would like to see a complete itemization of what they have billed for over the last year or so, but getting a run-around on this.
They are a total scam; do NOT do business with them. They are in business to rip off consumers, NOT to help anyone.
