I had a phone call from SGE group over applying for a loan. The person went through the application on the phone and told me I was successful which was then I gave my bank details as he said the money would be in that day after he finished completing the application he informed that the loan has been declined. The person then put me through to switch gas and electric. They explained that they could help me to get cheaper utility bills at a fee of £69.99. I was on the phone for ten minutes saying I did not want them to help me and I was not paying the fee. I went to my bank yesterday only to find the money has been took out. I am absolutely distraught and so upset. I phoned SGE group who were very rude on the phone the person said that I had agreed to this I have never been so sure in my life I did not agree to this, one reason is I am a single parent and can not afford it. I was also told that there was no managers on site and all complaints need to be put in writing or e-mail, which I am in the process of writing. My bank are unable to help me get the money back as it was a card payment. I am also going to contact watchdog, MP counciller and a solicitor.
