Livingston County CPS
I would like to sue Livingston County CPS for releasing information about my child hood to persons unrelated and without just cause. Here is the story.
My sister and I were both sexually abused when we were little by our father. My mom knew about my sister but I never talked about it. My sister got counseling for it, but I didnt because I wouldnt tell at the time. When I was 10, I touched my sister through her cloths. My mom found out and made me go to a group home for treatment. I got through my treatment program and was released back to my mother years later with my sisters as well and I was considered no risk.
I had a friend that was also my sisters friend. She is not my friend anymore because a Livingston County caseworker that was tied to my sisters custody battle told her she shouldnt let me come around and proceeded to tell her details of my childhood right in front of me. I called attorneys to see if it was legal that she did that and a few told me it could be considered a crime with what she did.
I am not a sex offender. I was a child victim and my mother made sure I got the treatment I needed as a child. I want to sue the county for whatever I can and this particular womans right to work in a field where confidentiality is so sensitive. I dont have money for an attorney so I havent been able to fight this. She ruined my friendship and after this information spread by the ex friend, I cant walk down the street without harassment because everyone thinks Im a sex offender and that was not the case then nor is it now.
This county has done a lot of things wrong to many people and it has to be addressed. Especially when they have so much authority to ruin lives and tear families apart. I hope I can get help. I was a child! Thankyou
