We Lease some business equipment from Marlin Business Bank the rep name Guy Lombardo was very deceiving about the contract with the first month and last month Rent we paid total $487.66
First he told me that the payment was going to be $243.83 and that is what the contract stated the leasing amount was around the $9300 the tax 7% would of been $651 from the company and I told Guy lombardo that i wanted to pay the taxes a head he convince me not to pay it because he said it would only be $651 divide by 60 month which would be $10.85 on top of the $243.83 = $254.68 so we agree to ad the tax to it to find out when my first bill arrive they charge us $270.50 $95 fee which they never told us about and $23.51 insurance fee which they never told us about and a $53.34 Late charge on the First Bill which we just receive the late fee was include on the 1st bill unbelievable Total $442.35 First bill Which should of been $254.68 Everyone at Marlin is on This Scams we also report them to BBB. We call and call everyone is giving us the running around. We have never done business with a company so dis-honest no one will pick up the phone you only get voice mail and messages never get return. We regret doing Business with Marlin Business Bank. We have refer them to our attorney to get this resolves. Any how we finally get to speak with John Igo at marlin which he claims to be Guy Lombardo Supervisor he told me he would get it right and fix the bill he offer to waive late fee which there should never be one anyway on the first bill and reduce the so call application fee $95 to $45 and that fee is no where on the application its self and the assurance fee was taken off because we put it our business insurance their rep claim he would pay the Different of $17.67
Because the Claim the payment is $270.50 which recorded him which he lied and we had sent in payment 0f $252.83 we just mail a payment $320 which should cover the $270.50 $45 application fee they claims =$315.50 we have the sent the contract to our attorney for reviews to have the payment corrected. After the Fact we went to BBB and complaint to find out that marlin Business Bank has a lot of Claims about the deceitful business practice. We will never use them again I would recommend anyone to stay away from them. They claim they take the contract payment $243.83x 60 month= $14,6229.80 x 7% = $1024.09 and the they charge fees and interest because even if you take $1024.09 divide by 60 month then your tax payment would be $17.07 plus $243.83=$260.90 and now they want $270.50 which does not clearly explain the difference. Marlin Business bank is making a lot of money from this contract but greed will swallow this company think about it the original lease to own for $1 for 60 month was $9300 at the end the Terms they would have Collected $14,629.80 $1024.09 tax claims =$15,653.89 the original tax we calculated should be $9300 x 7% =$651-$1024.09=$373.09 extra they are charging no clear explanation
Now take $14,629.80 $1024.09 tax claims =$15,653.89 divided by 60 month the payment should be $260.90 still doest not equal $270.90 please save yourself the headache stay away from marlin Business Bank I will keep an updated on how the handle the situation.
