I ordered Karen Millen dress yesterday from a seemingly genuine UK based site, of which all amounts were showing in £sterling and I read the T&C as I always do with sites I havent used before. At the point of checkout, I received an error message to say the payment had not been authorised but then immediately received an email notifying of the deduction from my account and a note that the amount may vary due to exchange rates.
I have since been told by the bank that even though the amount is pending and hasn't yet cleared my account, they are unable to prevent it as I entered my card details.
I have contacted both Yide Dragon and the supposed Karen Millen site and received the same broken English response from them both saying that if i cancel my order they will retain 10%. I obviously responded and demanded the full settlement amount back and am awaiting further response.
The bank say I have to wait 15 days from the amount being deducted from my account in order to lodge a VISA dispute on the basis that the amount being deducted is different from the amount agreed, and also for non-receipt of goods.
They assure me that they will get my money back but that it can be a rather long winded process.
AVOID any site showing a Youspay/Yourspray/Yide Dragon!
