Careerflow
Consumer Report

This company is advertising for work at home positions on indeed.com. I submitted my resume first to them and they responded the next day with an email from "human resources" stating that my resume has been approved. They instructed me to visit their website (http://careerflow. Devhub.com/) and to fill out their online application and to return it via email, which I did. Within 3 hours I received another email from "human resources" stating my resume had been received and was in "pending" status stating my response was required. The email contained the following information:
Your application was received and is now pending. The position you applied for is eligible for a $500.00 sign-on bonus. We value our employees and would like to reward you for joining our team. If you are hired, you will receive:
1. Full benefits including medical, dental, 401k, and tuition reimbursement.
2. Weekly pay via direct deposit.
3. The ability to choose your own flexible hours.
To continue the hiring process, you we must complete a criminal background check. Your new job will require you to handle sensitive and confidential information. There is a $36.00 fee to have this check done. Usually the employer picks up this cost, but due to the number of applications we have recieved, we will have to have the applicant cover this cost. There are no other costs whatsover.
If you would like your application processed faster, you may choose Priority processing. Priority processing places your application in front of the other applications and allows you to be hired faster. If you would like priority processing, the fee is $51.00.
You may go here to pay the fee: http://bgchecks. Jimdo.com/
Contact us at: [email protected] with any questions.
Please note: If your application fee is not received we will assume you are no longer interested in the position and delete your application.
We look forward to working with you.
I immediately got suspicious when they wanted me to pay for my own background information. I sent them an email requesting to speak to someone about the position, I also asked if they were listed with the BBB, asked who their clients were and asked for references. As of to date, I have not had a response. I am positive this is a scam to get people's personal information.
