I contacted this company in reguards of a management training program that was advertised that they offer through they web page and speaking to a recruiter. I posess a cdl a, and therefore Dustin, which was a driver recruiter, who had stated that I may just want to drive untill the class for the program does enrollment. I was ok with that. The problem is when I called a week later to inquire about the duration untill the enrollment, I spoke with the lady whom admitted that she had been incharge of the management training program, and that they no longer offered it, and hadn't done so in quite some time. I was completely devistated, I had quit a wonderful team driving job for this program. My goal was to not drive a truck any longer. I had a meeting with Mr. Burton Weiss about this situation, and I had told him that they are still advertising the program on thier website. When I went to explain why I quit my great job for this program, he laughed and said that I had made a silly career jump, because USA Truck, does not have the training program. And he aslo stated that there is no way that even if I filled out an application for a non driver postion, that I would have no chance, due to their cutting postions everywhere through out the company. I filled out a non driver application anyways. I am currently unable to quit due to finances, but I am seeking other employment. I feel that something should be done about this issue. I absolutley dispise this company and the driving. So basically in a nut shell, I was lied to and then laughed at.
