Watch out for Lisa the Matchmaker. She puts ads in local newspapers, sometimes calling herself the Millionaire Matchmaker North Shore style. Or she may have small signs near certain intersections.
She is a fast talking scam artist who is an excellent salesperson. She usually meets her 'victims' at a Caribou Coffee and starts in on how lonely someone may be, unhappy with online dating, unable to meet suitable people to date. She will promise you 6-12 excellent dating prospects each week, all with a background check.
The fees are in the thousands and before you know it, you've signed a contract and she's swiped your credit card. If you try to cancel, they will not allow it, nor will they refund money.
The people she's sent me have been no where near what my needs are and she will say someone lives in a certain area, when they don't. She will say someone has one profession, but it's not real, and she'll lie about looks, weight, anything. Anytime you call her, she will be too busy to talk and you have no recourse.
Everyone of the opposite sex she has had me call has not been suitable for me. But we've all agreed that she's ripped us off and we feel extremely stupid for falling for this.
