Golden Gate Capital is a very large private equity firm that
invests in and takes control of large public and private companies. They have a
history of what many allege, defrauding and stealing from the same companies
that they profess to help. While there are many private equity companies that
are legitimate, many like Golden Gate Capital are often called shysters and
thieves. This is part and parcel of why America has
been in many ways trashed, the landscape is littered with old bones of once
good companies who became involved with con-artists similar to Golden Gate
Capital who strip the balance sheet and decimate the owners, employees,
families and communities. As just one example, Golden Gate Capital is being
sued for fraud by Orchard Brands because they stripped the company of over
300,000, 000, thats a third of a Billion Dollars and then drove it into
bankruptcy.
