I booked a flight over the phone using HOTWIRE. The rep made the reservation and took my credit card info. She charged the card and "confirmed" my reservation telling me I would receive an email with my official reservation number in the morning. When I went to print the email it wasn't in my inbox.
I checked my bank and had been CHARGED FOR THE TICKET. When I got a person on the phone and then a manager, I was told that the airline didn't issue the ticket. They could help me by SELLING ME A TICKET AT TODAYS RATE AND NOT THE RATE I WAS CHARGED—hundreds more than I was quoted. Then the manager hung up on me. I will pursue this infinitely.
