I have received 1-2 phone calls a day during the week for the last month advising they were callings from the Winners Association 702-421-3470, Los Vegas 876-389-1673, Los Vagas 876-784-9290 Mark Williams, Kingston-JM 876-856-5069 876-543-4142,702-560-7115,360-232-6455; all phone numbers are from people trying to get me to pay taxes or insurance in order to collect my sweepstakes winnings. Each caller tried to get my bank account numbers needing verification of my funds. Some told me that I need to pay them for the taxes on the winnings and others advised I need to buy an insurance bond for the amount of the check before I could cash the sweepstakes winnings check. Told each caller that I know I do not have to pay any funds up front if I was a Sweepstakes Winner. Tried of the phone calls so I kept hanging up on them. Today I got a check in the mail from Our Kids of Miami-Dade Florida; Monroe Inc for $2395 and waiting for a phone call back from that bank. While waiting I looked up on the internet Accud Securities Inc from a pamphlet enclosed with the check and was directed to Scambook where I read about this exact scam complaint. I almost was convienced about buying that insurance bond first.
