I placed an order for an ipod touch 32 GB, through Google's site (via babeltechstore.com), on February 25. I kept checking through Google wallet the status of my order and it showed that it had not been charged or shipped.
I sent Google Wallet an e-mail to check the order status. The Google page showed the e-mail was submitted, yet there was never a response.
I then signed up for an account with babeltechstore.com, but their site showed no order had been placed, and today their site is gone!
And this morning, my credit card was (finally) charged for the purchase. I sent a 2nd e-mail to Google this morning, and shortly after, discovered online that many people were scammed this week by babeltech AND Google Wallet!!!
I just can't believe that Google was a part of this scam, but obviously (since I did my purchase through Google and not the fake web company) they are.
And the fact that NO ONE from Google has responded to any of us that got scammed, is even more disheartening. Bye bye Google, you've lost a valuable customer (I won't be using your email or browser or any products from now on).
Now off to e-mail my credit card company to report this SCAM!
