I bought some train tickets on the trainline in the UK. This website offered discounts of £10 in the next purchase and asked for your details. Recently i found out £10 are coming out of my account since then. I called my bank HSBC and after refunding the money they took it back again as Shopperdisc said they were valid transactions.in summary, when submitting details to get the discount (which I never got), I did not see anywhere that it was free for 3 months and then a charge of £10 would be applied on monthly basis. It is a scam as people are not made aware that this will cost them £10 per month, for some random and obscure extra online discounts? (Anybody can get discounts if they look for the right information) No need to charge £10 for it. I never got a statement from them saying they were taking this amount from my card, never got any communication from them via email or post. As my bank failed to support me on this one, i had to google the site, as i have no records on my email about this company and i submitted my email address and requested a password recovery. And voila, i had a password and then click on cancel. I work on SEM and Social Media and I am determined to make these people acknowledge that they are scamming people and that reputable companies like the trainline, are just ruining their reputation by selling us to 3rd parties.
