I filed my 2011 taxes thru Turbo Tax. I submitted my return on 2/14. I received an email from TurboTax stating that my return was rejected by the IRS. After calling Turbo Tax I was advised that I had to correct some errors on my return. When I logged onto TurboTax to do this, there was no record of my return. I contacted Turbo Tax again and after speaking to two representives, I was told they had "no record" of my return and werent sure why I received the rejection email. Also, that i had do redo my return. After receiving my return on 2/27, I attempted to make a payment, using my Turbo Tax card. The payment was declined. I again contacted Turbo Tax and was informed by one of their reps that my acct address for the payment and Turbo Tax address had to match in order for the payment to be approved. I then requested a change of address on my account with Turbo Tax. The changes were made and I continued to make purchase using my TurboTax card. On 2/29 I used my TurboTax card to make 2 payments on existing accounts. The first was approved, the second declined although the money was available. I contacted Turbo Tax and learned that they had closed my card. I was asked to fax them a copy of my drivers license, my social security card, and proof of residence, but was not given a reason why i was not the card was closed. Upon receipt of this info, it would take 5-7 business days in order for the account to be reopened. None of the reps that I spoke with could give me an exact reason as to why the account was under review, all they could tell me was that is was "procedure", and for security reasons I could not receive any additional written info about the review procedure, that werent stated in any of the terms and conditions agreements I signed. I was told there wasnt anyone I could contact other than them, there wasnt an address that I could write to for complaint, and if the information wasnt not sent to their office, a check would be sent to me at the address in question and that process would take 2-3 months. I am not at all sure if what they are doing is legal and if it is "procedure" as they say.
