Having just switched broadband from Talk Talk to Sky to try and speed things up I also have problems with freezing I recieved a cold call from an Indian or Packistani I thought he said from Sky he asked if I was having problems with my lap top if so he could sort them out I agreed. He went through a procedure to down load a free prog. Called AMMY or something like that he then took over the control of my mouse. He put up a list of my errors and faults that he would remove I said ok at this point he started double checking my personal details, address, e-mail, phone no. Etc then he wanted to know how I paid for my broadband I told him direct debit his reply was that he would be taking £99.99 with my next debit if I would confirm my bank details at this point I hit the roof and hung up. I read the details in the Ammy web prog he down loaded in which it warned about not using the prog if I didnt know who was using the prog as there is no way they would cold call to try and get people on the sight. I have since cancelled the D.D. And restored my lap top
