First off it is not the home we ordered-they shorted us on sq. Footage that we paid for-windows leak-we have MOLD!
A few days after we moved in, it rained. And so did our home! Water just poured into the home from the window. We lived with rain water entering into our home for approx. Three months.
Until I did my research on Mold. Because Mold started growing within days. I faxed that info and how dangerous it can be to our health. They were there that day!
However they did not clean it properly. Fleetwood made me aware that the windows were installed improperly. There was a gap between the window and siding-where they cut the window opening too wide. I questioned the other windows and they assured me that the other windows would be fine.
My concern was that my husband and I were trying to have a baby and we just wanted things to be perfectly clean and healthily for our future child.
However, two years later I found MOLD all over the office room and water damage in the master room where our 5 month old would sometimes sleep! I grabbed my son and left everything behind. It has been 6 months now without a home.
I called the fleetwood warranty co.— They sent out a real winner! Bob Rispoli was out checking on a home next door when I pulled him over to our home. He took pictures and said it is not a good ideal to live in the home. However he was not offering to pay for another home.
When I called the warranty back to find out the status— all they could say is it is out of their hands.
Fleetwood would not return my calls. After letters and requests for help, they sent out a company (2 mos. Later) to do testing. They found MOLD—Toxic Mold! And high counts of spores in the air. He made me aware that we did the right thing by leaving the home. For the health of my husband, baby, and I.
In May, we finally got Fleetwood to pay for housing for my family and I. That only lasted 2 months and now fleetwood pulled out completely.
It took Tim Mayes with Fleetwood 2 and 1/2 weeks to contact me in May to send a company out to do an est. Then he wanted another co. To do an est. However they never showed up and I dropped everything to meet with them.
Then Tim had another co. Come out and give another est. And said this will be the co. They were suppost to start that next wed.—never got a call.—So, I figured I better babysit them all once again and called Tim w / Fleetwood. He did not call me back. Then AMR called (another co.) and said they would do the job. I asked if they needed to do an est. He said no they already gave one! How? If he has never seen the mess!
I again dropped everything for him to come out to do the job but he showed late and with nothing and said he would start tomorrow. This guy could not give me straight answers.
So, I wanted a plan of action written out. This way I would know the process and chemicals they would use in our home. Fleetwood and AMR would not give me they information. And I questioned why this co. Est. Was more then 1/2 the price cheaper than the others.
Thats when Fleetwood (Tim) said he would not fix our home and was Rude and hung up! He stopped paying rent and stopped the process of fixing our home. AMR wanted us to sign a paper saying we would not sue if the job is not done right! Ok. What is that about.
Tim said that if this company dose not do the job right that Fleetwood is not the one to blame. "You would need to go after AMR and sue them." I feel Tim Mayes is Shady and so is AMR and Fleetwood!
They shorted us on the size of home-that we paid for. And everything in the home is cheap! It is a FLEETROT not Fleetwood!
