Eceived a text message from my bank that I was overdrawn. I pulled up my online checking account and Global Value Pass had charged my account $99.00. I found their number and called them.
I asked them to take the charge off my account and asked the operator for a confirmation number and his first name. He gave me
his I.D. Number as well. Two days later, on the twenty fifth, the
charge showed up again. The first time it showed up in my account,
my banker told me she could take it off because it was still pending.
The second time I asked another banker to take it off. He suggested that I get another debit card. I later called in my debit card as "lost or stolen" and cancelled it upon the banker's advice.
The way they got my card number was in a survey I was taking.
R. Of had some offer for $4.95. I don't even remember what it was for, but I certainly did not realize it was a trial offer and that I would be charged $99.00 ultimately.
These surveys are scams themselves in my estimation. They
tell you that you will be paid or win a $100 gift card and they end
up telling you that you have to purchase several things in order to
get the card or free sample or what ever they are offering you.
Advice to the wise. Do not give out your phone number or credit card number on any surveys. I have also gotten 2charges on my
cell phone bill from companies that I absolutely know that I did not
authorize: Quiz4Now and Winley Marketing. I'm also making complaints in this forum on those 2 companies. Steer away from surveys is the lesson I have learned.
