My name is David Bliss and I'm an independent contractor that worked on a job for Thomas Flanagan and QSI Barns. My crew, 3 including myself, have been working for him for 3 weeks. He is supposed to pay on Fridays, $110 per day for myself, and $90 a day per helper totalling $290 a day. We work 6 days a week Monday thru Saturday 10 hours a day.
1st weeks pay was held back a week as normal pay goes, then friday comes of the 2nd week had to threaten Thomas with a TWC unpaid wages claim just to get paid. The 3rd week, we worked our normal hours, and friday comes and Thomas' supervisor hands me a check for $500, gets in his car and leaves. Thomas and I had previous arrangement that day via text to pay the full weeks wages for the entire crew earlier that day. Been texting and calling Thomas ever since and no luck on getting what is owed to 3 family men. Total current wages owed-$2,470. And Thomas wrote out an agreement in Starbucks in Forney TX, HWY80 and 548 on Sunday01-01 2012.
Any contractor that I met on QSI job site asked the same thing, have you been paid? And all, concrete, electrical, and another crew similar to myself said they hadn't been paid in weeks.
Our crew worked one day on a job in Rhome TX on 01-13 and the home owner stated that the concrete company that Thomas used to pour her drive and slab put a lean on her home that monday for non payment on Thomas' behalf.
I'm sure that there is alot of you out there struggling to survive and provide a home for your family just like us. Lets stop these crooks!
