We were approached in a shop (from the shop's sales staff) about joining The Vacation Station. We gave $10.00 to hold our place and were given the $10.00 back the next day after the sales pitch.
We were promised all sorts of wonderful advantages if we joined. We could have our pick of the top resorts if we submitted our reservation with a $100.00 holding fee which would be applied to the cost of the trip... Not to exceed $1199.00. We were also told that before we went to any concert or any theme park to call their offices and get discount tickets. Airfare was also offered at a discount through The Vacation Station.
I contacted the company to schedule flights and was told that they do not offer discounts but that they would gladly book the flight for us.
I inquired about discount theme park tickets and was told that they do not offer such a service. I said, "So in other words, we were lied to." She did not comment.
I have been so frustrated about this program. I don't usually invest in this type of thing because it all seems "to good to be true". This time I went against my better judgement and mourn my decision. With the money I invested (wasted) with The Vacation Station program, I could have had a very nice vacation and not have to live with the feeling of having thrown away hard earned money.
