I was fortunate enough to be alerted to this scam by the people at PianoMart.com, a legitimate broker for piano sales. These people are pretty slick - they use multiple e-mail sites, and it's a pretty basic scam, where they buy your item and have you wire the so-called "shipping fees" via Western Union after receiving a fake cashier's check. I confirmed with my banker that the check was fake. So I stopped responding to their e-mails about sending the money. Then, they tried calling me and I basically stopped them in their tracks by sending them an e-mail explaining that I knew about their scam, so don't try to contact me any more. I have already notified the FBI, Comcast and Craigs List, as well as a magazine that lets you advertise player pianos for sale. I believe that is where these people got my e-mail address. Things have gone from "buyer beware" to "seller beware" any more.
