Absolute Regret!

In the very beginning when we tried selling our home they were nice and helpful in every way. Then, we signed a contract with them. Two months go by and they had done nothing. I stepped in and said we need to do an open house. It was done, and that's it, for another four months. We never heard from them, never got an update of anything - nothing. After the six months I moved home and we decided to rent the home out instead. We signed another contract stating how everything worked within their duties of managing it. I wrote down my account number for direct deposit signed the paper and it was finished. After moving states away, the first rent payment was was due. Danny calls me and asks me 'if I can come pick it up'. After explaining to him something he knew already or should have know I told him I'm hundreds of miles away and it wasn't possible. Long story short - he then told me 'it costs money to be direct deposited' and 'its out of his way'. I was blown away at the fact that someone who was supposed to be working for us would have the audacity to tell me it's out of his way! (Not to mention, our bank, was Maybe 10-15 min away.) After making it clear to him that I was told I would be getting direct deposit and that it's his job to do it whether he liked it or not, that issue was solved. So now months go by and everything is fine. We receive a call from saying the tenants have found an issue, and that he'd called a plumber to check it out. We were fine with it, asked him to give us a call when the plumber was headed over, and planned to go out to meet him. This is how it ended. Danny had called a 'handyman' who turned out to be his friend that wasn't a plumber at all. He had no idea what the problem was. They -started - to dig a hole near the bottom of our waterline. It was about 3ft long by maybe a ft deep, THAT'S IT.

We later received a bill stating they wanted $100 for digging up our waterline and finding the leak. We obviously had an issue with this knowing that was not true. So, we call Danny bring up the issue and he starts at it again. Telling us we would have to take it up with them (remember he hired them) and that he would be taking the money out of the next rent check. Once again we had a problem with this. We then proceeded to ask him why we were never even given the chance to call our own plumber, he said he 'didn't know we were back in town'. One: not only had we stated when we talked to him the night before the 'handyman' went out that we would be meeting him there but we also updated our address to him in an email he sent to me asking for. So back to the phone call - he then tells me that HE'S breaking the contract because this is the 'second issue we've had already.' After hanging up with him, we tried calling him and emailing requesting things (like the rental agreement we never got) and were ignore for almost two weeks!

If that's not unprofessional, I don't know what to say! I'm going to say this in a nice way. We thought going through a rental management it would take some of the stress off our shoulders. Now, let me also say this. Save your time and money. Do not go with this company! They are not professional in any way. Not one time did I feel that they were doing a good job. They do not communicate together, nor do they actually work for you. I would never recommend them, ever.
