I received an e-mail in early Dec. 2011 (which I can forward to you, if you can provide me w / an e-mail address to forward it to), inviting me to a New Years Eve party at a "Rock Star Mansion" in North Hollywood. I paid the early admission fee of $75 but when I got there, myself & others were told by the police that there was no party at the address we were given, & that this co. Is known for it's party scams.
I immediately went home to Lomita (which is at least 30 miles one-way from the so-called "party site") & left a not so nice v-mail for the promoter/demoter of this event. I then went on-line & made a complaint w / PayPal, who is supposed to refund back the $75 admission fee.
That's a start, but nothing can pay for what that did to my New Years Eve plans for & I doubt that Mr. Max Davids/the demoter of this event/scam will reimburse me the additional $70 or so dollars for the other losses mentioned earlier that I aquired.
I hope this scammer & his co. Are reviewed, & that this complaint does not just end-up being the beginning of a bad year for me & others who thought they were going to be attending an awesome party for New Years Eve 2012. I even spoke once to the promoter to confirm that it wasn't a scam, to which of course he confirmed that it wasn't... Ha, ha, ha... The joke was on me, I guess, but maybe it can be put-back on the person who is so deserving of it, after this complaint gets around some.
