In April we purchased a 2011 F-150, no problems till now, July. It rained this week the truck was driven on the day it rained, driving through a parking lot with standing water, no flood, nothing remotely dangerous. Upon leaving the lot the truck stopped running. Electrical system worked, starter worked but truck would not stop. The dealer (Joe Taylor Ford) was close by so called. They sent a tech to the lot thinking it was fuel shut off, not it. Next they hook up diagnostic, 20 codes lit up. They took it in to the garage, could not start and run that day. Next day we get it back, diagnosis electrical short caused by driving in water! How are we ever to feel confident driving this 4x4 anytime it might get moisture in engine compartment? Rain, snow, slush. This is absolutely ridiculous and this will be the only Ford we will ever own.
