Our company has continually been charged by a company called USBI. I have placed several calls to cancel this service that was never ordered to begin with. I was told on all occasions that it might take 3-4 billing cycles before I would see the credit.
Well, several months have gone by and I am still showing these charges. I called the number on my bill, which is USBI. Once again, I am transferred to someone else who then refers me to someone else-so on and so forth. Once again, they said they are not responsible for this charge, that a company named LCR Telecom is. So I was sent to LCR where I received absolutely no assistance from a manager!
When I began to tell him of the names of people I have spoken to and that I was told it would be removed w-in 3-4 billings, I was rudely interrupted with "... Would have never told you that!" So I then repeated "pull up my phone conversation and we will see." I was told that they could not give me any more info than they have, told me to have a nice day and hung up. So once again, I get off the phone not knowing if the service is going to be cancelled or not.
Why does it take 3-4 cycles to be removed but they can charge you for only half a month because it was cancelled in the middle of the month? Sounds to me like they do what they want anyways!
This is not the first time that our company has been affected by this thing they call "slamming." Something has got to be done to protect these innocent companies. My hope is that by writing in this area, that other companies will become aware of what is going on and hopefully can protect themselves before it is too late!
USBI and LCR Telecom are fraudulant companies and I only hope that they get "nailed" by someone that counts since thats what they do to others out there.
