Consumer Report

I signed up for a paid survey on the internet. I then received a check for $2870.00 issued from a bank, I believe, in Illinois. If anyone has received this check, I would appreciate knowing what bank it was, as I did not make a copy of it. I then received several emails, each telling me to get the instructions on conducting a survey with Western Union, and that I was suppose to give back about $300. (can't remember exactly), and the rest was for me to keep. I looked up the bank, called them, and found out that there was no account under that name, and that the check was bogus. I sent the check along with copies of the emails back to the bank so that they might be able to investigate this scam. Today I received a threatening email:

The Check for the survey you signed up for was delivered to you by the post office a long time ago.
You have since refused to conduct the survey you applied for and did not reply my emails.

This behavior is considered insubordination Under Policy B025 Disciplinary Rules. Refusal to Conduct the Survey
will not be tolerated. Your behavior has a negative impact on the normal functioning of our company.
If the survey is not conducted tomorrow, You will be subjected to further disciplinary action.

Thank you.
