On Thanksgiving this year there was a marathon downtown that had blocked off roads in the downtown area. Right in this same area was an event to help feed the homeless called Gobble Give.
Several of the volunteers, who had food and other items to offload parked at the Maharaja Cafe between 10-11am. The Cafe was closed and there was no attendant in the booth, so the volunteers offloaded their cars and went to the event. Gone less than two hours, they came back to find their cars has been towed by a predatory Tow Company called TwoGuys. (The charge was $300)
The Tow Guys company told the volunteers that the owner had CALLED (remember they are not open and this is 10 am on Thanksgiving.) to have the cars towed. So he could do nothing. The volunteers approached the man in his attendant booth who was now there, he said he could do nothing the Tow Guys were at fault.
Either way. The volunteers were out $300 a piece, the attendant was rude, the TowGuys were predatory and I personally will make sure as many people hear this story as possible, so you can make a decision. Do you want to give these people your money?
