On Oct. 11 I saw on line an ad for a FREE sample of acai tablets (60 count) which was a one month's supply. They were advertized as free to get people to try them if you only paid the S&H of $ 4.95. No other charges, fees, membershps, clubs or other situations were mentioned. Just try one bottle to make you feel more energized, as stated by Opray Winfrey, Rachel Ray and other famous people and many unknown Americans. I thought I'd try one bottle only for $ 4.95. It was not advertized as a weight loss product. To my dismay, I charged the shipping fee to my credit card.
Today I received my bill for December from same credit card and the same company has charged that account a fee of $ 97.95
, 14 days later, for a next shipment of the product. However, I never received another shipment of the product, nor would I have wanted it.
I thought it odd that ther "free" tablets came in a box with absolutely no paperwork, invoice, shipping papers or anything.
Well, you can bet I will not pay the $ 97.95 and am having it disputed currently.
I am a handicapped senior citizen on disability income and i will not tolerate companies that take advantage of people in this fashion.
You can be assured if it cost me my life saving's I will sue the bottom out of this rip-off company.
Letters to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Comission in progress.
Cancelled that particular credit card and informed them to not accept any more charges from that company as I will not pay for it becasuse they aren't authorized by me.
Companies like that ought to get what they deserve for bilking people.
