America Medical Systems hired me for a work at home data entry position. The company sent me a check for $2,400 and asked me to deposit it into my bank account. I asked my bank if, after the hold was off, I pulled the money out would I have to worry about the check bouncing or no funds being in the account. They told me I had nothing to worry about. Two days after removing the funds to send to the vendor for equipment to do the job, my account was negative $2,400. The bank told me that the check was returned but would not tell me why and said I was being held responsible.
